So It Begins

So It Begins

I arrived in San Francisco following a week of training across the country. While I am now close to home (I live in San Jose, about 50 miles south), it still feels like I am someplace else. But I am excited about connecting with people I have not seen in a while.

The pre-conference workshop begins tomorrow, and I’m facilitating it—41 people for a full day on the MBTI® Step II™ assessment. Exciting. We’ll be in a huge room, and while it will be a challenge to work with such a large group, I’m ready for it. By the way, I would be remiss not to thank my colleagues Larry Romero, Kim Rivera, Catey DeBalko, and Jennifer Overbo for helping me get the room set up. There was lots to do. If you have ever trained with me, you probably know I tend to be very picky about having the room just right, with all the materials placed just so.

You may also know that I have preferences for INFP. This just reminds me that any type can do anything if the motivation is there. My desire for detailed planning and organizing is not about Sensing and Judging—it is really about Intuition and Feeling. I want to make a difference in people’s lives. It all starts with participants knowing they have been thought about and cared for the minute they arrive in the room.
