ESFP – How can I help you right now?

ESFP – How can I help you right now?

Written by Catherine Rains

Those who prefer ESFP are motivated by their Extroverted Sensing dominant, which scans the environment for what is happening in the present moment, pursuing options that will provide others with real-time practical support.  Also motivated by fun, they can be easily distracted by the newest idea, process, person, academic major, etc. that crosses their path.  This fun-seeking characteristic of ESFP types also makes them one of two types most likely to drop out of college before getting a degree because of new options that appear to be more fun in the moment than finishing college.  Careers identified as attractive to this type include: Facilitating Employee Engagement, Senior Citizen Activities Director, Fashion Consultant, Real Estate Agent, Teacher, Student Life Activities Coordinator, Customer Service (ex. Starbucks, Apple Store or South West Airlines!), Emergency Medical Technician, Police Officer, and Park and Recreation Director.

ESFPs – what others careers have you been attracted to?  The more we add to this list the better and feel free to repeat what is already listed above.  We’re looking for the most comprehensive list possible so that other types fully understand what careers feel most natural to those of you who prefer ESFP.
